We're delighted to share that three Everyday Superfood products have been recognised at the Great Taste Awards 2026:
⭐⭐ Dried Ginger Pieces – 2 Stars
⭐ Organic Cacao Powder – 1 Star
⭐ Organic Ceremonial Matcha Tea – 1 Star
Each award represents something different for us. Our Dried Ginger Pieces achieved an incredible 2 Stars in their first year of entry. Our Japanese Organic Ceremonial Matcha received its first Great Taste Award in one of today's most competitive categories. And our Organic Cacao Powder achieved something particularly special – winning for the second consecutive year.
What Makes a Great Taste Award Special?
Great Taste is one of the most recognised food and drink accreditation schemes, with products assessed by expert judging panels through blind tasting.
The judges aren't looking at our packaging. They don't see our branding, our organic credentials or the story behind Everyday Superfood.
They're judging the product in front of them.
That's particularly meaningful to us.
We've always believed that quality should be something you can actually experience when you open a pack – in the flavour, aroma, colour, texture and freshness of the ingredient – rather than something that exists only on a specification sheet or marketing claim.
Having three very different products independently recognised in the same year is something we're incredibly proud of.
⭐ Organic Cacao Powder – The Only One, Two Years Running
Of all our results this year, our Organic Cacao Powder has given us an especially unusual achievement.
In 2025, our Organic Cacao Powder was the only organic cacao powder to receive a Great Taste Award.
In 2026, it won again.
And once again, no other organic cacao powder received a Great Taste Award.
This means that across both the 2025 and 2026 Great Taste Awards, Everyday Superfood is the only brand to have an award-winning Organic Cacao Powder.
For an ingredient as widely available as cacao, that's an achievement that means a great deal to us.
Cacao is also an ingredient we know exceptionally well. Over the years, we've sourced, tested and compared cacao from different origins and suppliers, and we've seen first-hand just how different two products both labelled simply "Organic Cacao Powder" can be.
Our approach has never been to buy cacao simply because it meets a specification or reaches a particular price point. We want to source cacao that we genuinely believe is exceptional – and that means looking closely at the ingredient itself.
Winning in 2025 gave us independent recognition that we had something special.
Winning again in 2026, while remaining the only Organic Cacao Powder recognised across both years, makes that recognition even more meaningful.
⭐ Organic Ceremonial Matcha – Standing Out in a Crowded Market
And then there is matcha.
Few ingredients have experienced anything quite like the extraordinary rise of matcha in recent years.
Today, consumers are presented with an enormous choice of matcha products, spanning different origins, grades, qualities and price points. New matcha brands and products seem to appear almost every day.
Standing out in such a saturated market isn't easy.
Our Organic Ceremonial Matcha Tea is grown and produced in Japan, certified organic and selected for the quality we expect from a ceremonial matcha.
Matcha is also an exceptionally revealing product when it comes to taste. There is very little to disguise the quality of the tea itself. Its aroma, colour, texture, bitterness, sweetness, umami and overall balance all contribute to the experience.
That's why receiving a Great Taste Award for our Organic Ceremonial Matcha feels like a genuine milestone.
In a category surrounded by so much choice, terminology and marketing, having independent experts blind-taste the product and recognise its quality is particularly valuable.
Ultimately, once you remove the packaging and the claims, there's just the matcha in the cup.
And ours now has a Great Taste Award to its name.
⭐⭐ Dried Ginger Pieces – Two Stars on Their First Entry
Our third winner brought another fantastic result.
Our Dried Ginger Pieces received 2 Great Taste Stars in their very first year of entry.
It's also perhaps the simplest of our three winning products – pieces of carefully sourced ginger, dried and packed.
And that's precisely why the ingredient itself matters so much.
There are no complicated formulations or flavours to hide behind. The quality and natural character of the ginger have to speak for themselves.
Receiving 2 Stars at the first attempt was an amazing result for the product and something our whole team is extremely proud of.
It also represents something fundamental to the way we've always thought about food:
Simple doesn't have to mean ordinary.
Sometimes, an exceptional ingredient needs very little doing to it at all.

Ten Years of Putting the Ingredient First
These awards have arrived at a particularly meaningful time, as Everyday Superfood celebrates 10 years.
For the past decade, we've built our business around sourcing ingredients we genuinely believe are worth selling.
Sometimes that means choosing a better variety when a cheaper alternative is readily available. Sometimes it means testing and comparing different origins until we find what we're looking for. And sometimes it simply means doing as little as possible to a great ingredient and allowing its natural qualities to speak for themselves.
We don't make those decisions to win awards.
We make them because they're fundamental to what we believe Everyday Superfood should be.
But when independent judges taste our products without seeing the brand behind them and arrive at the same conclusion – that feels particularly rewarding.

Our 2026 results represent three very different achievements.

A Great Taste-winning Japanese Organic Ceremonial Matcha standing out in one of the most crowded food categories today.
And an Organic Cacao Powder that remains the only one awarded by Great Taste across both 2025 and 2026.
